Letter from President Thank you for visiting the Alpha Tau Omega website for the Zeta Beta Chapter at the University of Southern California. Whether you are an alumnus, an active brother, or a potential member, welcome. This site is for documenting all the tremendous achievements our chapter has accomplished. Though many things have happened over the past year, some of our major successes include the continual strengthening of our brotherhood. One example was ATO’s Spring 2007 IRONMAN Championship. We dominated the competition finishing first or second in 4 of the 6 major spring sports. Not only that, many brothers have enjoyed numerous camping trips, surfing expeditions, and in-house brotherhood events with one another. In addition to the countless brotherhood events, our chapter has remained in positive academic standing. We have maintained over a 3.05 GPA for the entire house. Our chapter has also added a new academic advisor, Dr. James Moore, the Chairman of the Daniel J. Epstein Industrial Systems Engineering Department. As ATOs, we strive to be competitive with the continual growth of academic excellence at USC. Although scholastic success is a priority of our chapter, we are all active socially as well. The chapter has experienced several social events such as our annual Winter Wonderland, a holiday themed party with fake snow, as well as this spring’s Down the Rabbit Hole, a psychedelic Alice in Wonderland themed party. These are on top of the numerous exchanges with the other sororities on the Row. To remain strong internally, the new executive board has revised the ATO bylaws and reformed the adjudication process of the judicial board. Along with the previous executive board’s “idea book,” the transitioning has gone smoothly over the spring and the house is ready for the fall semester. Moreover, the chapter has introduced the Alumni-Mentoring program. This new program helps younger ATOs reach out to older mentors in various career fields and allows them to network and learn the ins and outs of the business world. This gives younger ATOs a chance to see how being a part of this fraternity has made older members successful. This has been doing very well over the past semester and I would like to encourage more alumni to participate. To all my brothers, we know that ATO is more than a social club, and that we are all brothers for life. Thank you for all the help you give to the chapter whether it was in the past, present, or future. It is wonderful to witness and partake in the legacy of ATO here at the University of Southern California. To potential members, I encourage you to get to know as many brothers as possible, and hope that you may one day join the brotherhood of ATO. Love and Respect to all my Brothers, Hugh Le
